MoNREC Union Minister inspects forest plantations in southern Shan State, Mandalay Region

Union Minister for Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi inspected the forest plantations out of Namkhote forest ring in Hopong Township of southern Shan State, in the catchment area and eucalyptus plantation area on 13 May.
He also checked the eucalyptus plantation area to be implemented on both sides of the Heho-Baw Hseng-Pindaya Road, a protection area for soil erosion and potential lands for a protected forest reserve.
He also visited the seedling plantation site of the Forest Department of Pindaya Township, eucalyptus plantations along the Pindaya-Aungban Road, Kalaw-Aungban Road and out of the Thikhaung Forest reserve.
Moreover, the Union minister inspected the forest and seedling plantations in Thazi Township of Mandalay Region. — MNA
