MoPFI inks deal on infrastructure collaboration with Infra Asia

Union Minister for Planning, Finance and Industry U Soe Win witnessed the virtual signing ceremony of the agreement between his office and the Infrastructure Asia yesterday for infrastructure development projects in Myanmar.
The Union Minister and Minister in the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister for Education and Finance Ms Indranee Rajah delivered speeches at the ceremony.
Director-General Daw Thway Thway Chit from the Planning Department and Executive Director of Infrastructure Asia Mr Seth Tan signed the agreement.
Under the agreement, the Infrastructure Asia, together with the MoPFI, will work for identifying suitable investors for infrastructure projects in Myanmar, help implement projects in the Myanmar Project Bank, bridging with service and technology support and inviting international standard tenders for the project.
The ceremony was also participated by Deputy Ministers U Set Aung and Dr Min Ye Paing Hein, permanent secretaries, departmental heads, officials from the Prime Minister’s Office of Singapore, its ambassador to Myanmar and authorities of Infrastructure Asia.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
