MoRAC announces selected prominent pagodas for inclusion in Digital Museums, Pagoda Digital Directory

Deputy Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture Daw Nu Mra Zan announced that an initial selection of nine renowned pagodas, including the iconic Shwedagon Pagoda, will be featured in the Pagoda Digital Directory. This announcement was made during a coordination meeting for the implementation of digital museums and pagoda digital directory held at the National Museum (Nay Pyi Taw) on 21 August.
Daw Nu Mra Zan emphasized the importance of showcasing museums and libraries to the public through modern technologies. She highlighted the need for creating and displaying digital museums and pagoda digital directories at prominent pagodas across Myanmar.
To kick-start the creation of the Pagoda Digital Directory, a total of nine distinguished pagodas have been chosen for inclusion. These pagodas are the Shwedagon Pagoda, the Shwesandaw Pagoda (Pyay), the Shwemawdaw Pagoda (Bago), the Mahamyatmuni Pagoda (Mandalay), the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda, the Uppatasanti Pagoda, the Shwezigon Pagoda, Ananda Pagoda, and the Shaitthaung Temple in MraukU township. — TWA/MKKS
