Through the Public Overseas Employment Agency (POEA), further up to 150 Myanmar EPS workers were sent to the Republic of Korea on 7 August, according to the Myanmar Embassy.
New 153 manufacturing workers arrived at Incheon International Airport on 7 August from Yangon on Myanmar National Airlines charter flight UB 8301. The Labour Attache from the Myanmar Embassy in Seoul welcomed workers, advised them what they needed to do, and provided necessary assistance, said the embassy.
Seven new agriculture and livestock workers and 145 new manufacturing workers, totalling 152, were despatched on 16 July and 188 new manufacturing workers were sent on 25 June under the EPS system, according to statistics released by the embassy.
New 152 manufacturing workers on 21 May, 146 manufacturing workers and 24 agriculture and livestock workers, totalling 170 on 7 May, were despatched through POEA.
A total of 421 EPS workers under E-9 visas in April, a total of 862 EPS workers in March and a total of 1,333 EPS workers under E-9 visas in February were conveyed to the Republic of Korea, according to the embassy. — MT/ZS/ED
