More than 34,000 acres of monsoon paddy to develop in Kyunhla

In the 2020-2021 Financial Year in Kyunhla township, a total of 74,624 acres of monsoon crops, including 34,895 acres of monsoon paddy, 14,458 acres of veriety of pulses, 2,539 acres of sugarcane crop, 5,824 acres of edible oil crops, 15,359 acres of other crops and 1,549 acres of perennial crops will be cultivated in the township.

Kyunhla Township has targeted to develop over 34,000 acres of monsoon paddy this year, said Daw Myint Myint Yee, the head of Kyunhla Agriculture Department.
In order to achieve a high yield of monsoon paddy, the township Agriculture Department is conducting field awareness on agricultural techniques, distribution of good quality seeds and inputs, carrying out pest prevention activities, never using pesticides unnecessarily, ensuring natural fertilizer to get a GAP certificate.
“Kyunhla Township is mainly engaged in agricultural business. This year, the township is targeted to grow over 34,000 acres of monsoon paddy. Despite the good rains on the fields of local farmers, they are being prepared to grow the monsoon paddy in time, said Daw Myint Myint Yee.
