THE MINISTRY of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement has provided healthcare items to the camps of internally displaced persons in Kachin and Rakhine states.
The five IDP camps in Myitkyina and Mogaung townships of Kachin State received 742 bottles of hand sanitizer, 1,762 soaps, 292 cloth face masks, two sets of hand washing basin, five thermometers, two hand speakers, two memory sticks with audio files of COVID-19 awareness campaign and two vinyl sheets printed COVID-19 awareness campaign.
Similarly, 25 temporary IDP camps in Sittway, Buthidaung, MraukU and An townships of Rakhine State received 6,552 cloth face masks, 845 soaps, nine sets of hand washing basin, 187 bottles of hand sanitizer, two thermometers, 45 bags of lime powder and seven awareness campaign vinyl sheets.
The ministry is providing both material and immaterial supports in Nay Pyi Taw Council area, regions and states to prevent and control of COVID-19 diseases. — MNA (Translated by TTN)
