MoSWRR provides cash assistance to CSOs, people with disabilities and senior citizens in Nay Pyi Taw

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided cash assistance to voluntary organizations, people with disabilities and people over 85 years yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine said public services are provided by the Social Welfare Department, Disaster Management Department and Rehabilitation Department. They set seven social welfare activities to implement social welfare services for the people.
She expressed words of thanks to all stakeholders and local authorities for their cooperation in providing basic statistical data and access to the benefit of the people. She urged the civil society organizations and people from the regions and states to continue cooperation.
A total of K235.683 million was provided to the voluntary organizations; K27.06 million to a total of 902 people with disabilities.
The Union minister, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials provided social pension assistance to the attended elderlies and people with disabilities directly at the ceremony.
A total of K421.653 million was provided to the voluntary organizations, 902 people with disabilities and 5,297 people over the age of 85 in Nay Pyi Taw Council area yesterday. – MNA
