MoSWRR provides CERP cash assistance to IDPs in MraukU, Rakhine

The Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held a virtual meeting with the Rakhine State government on 21 August to present cash assistance for the internally displaced persons in Rakhine State under the COVID-19 Economic Relief Plan (CERP).
Under this plan, each family received K40,000 to be able to purchase five basic foodstuffs. MraukU district authorities handed over K184,600,000 for 4,615 families in temporary IDP camps at the township office of General Administration Department on 7 September.
Plans are underway to give cash relief to the IDPs in Sittway, Pauktaw, Yathedaung, Ponnagyun, Minbya, Myebon and An townships.—MNA (Translated by Aung Khin)
