MoSWRR receives Digital Government Award from ASOCIO

The director-general of the Department of Social Welfare receives the award in behalf of the MoSWRR.

Director-General Dr San San Aye of the Department of Social Welfare, together with an expert in the respective subject, attended the Digital Summit 2022 of the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) held at the Resorts World Sentosa Convention Centre in Singapore on 28 October.
At the Digital Trust Forum meeting, 14 topics were discussed by regional and international IT professionals, academicians from universities, CEOs, CFOs and executives from technology companies.
The ASOCIO Digital Government Award 2022 was given at the Gala Dinner of the summit. The Case Management Information System-CMIS, a sector of the Social Management Information System (SMIS), which is being carried out by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, was presented at the competition with the support of the Ministry of Defence and the Myanmar Computer Federation. The ministry has won the award and the director-general of the Department of Social Welfare received the award on behalf of the Ministry. Then, souvenirs were given to the ASOCIO chairman and officials. At the ASOCIO Digital Summit 2022, 14 countries presented 54 awards, including the Digital Government Award.
The CMIS Software Platform is the comprehensive social protection programme implemented by the MoSWRR for children who need to be protected, children who violate the law, children who are physically and sexually abused, issues of gender-based violence and events of trafficked children and women. This platform is designed for government organizations and non-governmental organizations to use systematically. — MNA
