MoSWRR Union Minister inspects home for the aged, child nursery and relief supplies warehouse in Rakhine State

Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine presents a K10 million donation to the home for the aged in Sittway on 17 May.

Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr Thet Thet Khine, arrived at Sittway township on 17 May, visited the home for the aged in Sittway viewed round the loss and damage caused by the storm and paid respects to the older persons who live in the home for the aged.
Afterwards, the Union minister met and encouraged the aged and handed over K10 million donated by the ministry.
In addition, she distributed snacks to the children and instructed officials to meet the needs of the children at the nursery.
In addition, the Union minister inspected the damaged vocational training school and the office of the Rakhine State Social Welfare Department and met the staff.
