MPC to keep providing rice, oil to journalists

Myanmar Press Council (MPC) will provide rice and oil continuously to those journalists who are lowly paid or terminated during the COVID-19 period.
MPC has already provided rice and oil to a total of 181 journalists from across the country as of today including six from the regions and 25 from Yangon region on 12 May, four from the regions and 68 from Yangon on 20 May and four from regions and 32 from Yangon region on 27 May. The council is planning to provide the foodstuffs as soon as possible to 120 journalists depending upon the donations received. Each person will receive six baskets of rice and 1.9 litres of oil.
The journalists, who wish to receive the foodstuffs provided by the MPC, need to contact MPC via phone: 09448026326 and email: [email protected] by telling name, phone number, news agency department, position, the termination date if terminated, editor’s name of the person’s assigned department, editor’s phone number and current address for the convenience of the distribution of the foodstuffs not later than 30 November, according to the MPC.
