Myanmar Police Force met with officials from UNODC to complete the handover of four portable drug and chemical detection devices.
The state of the art equipment will be utilized by frontline law enforcement officers to disrupt flows of precursor chemicals required for the illicit manufacture of drugs from neighbouring countries into Myanmar.
In the coming weeks, the devices will also be accompanied by associated training for Myanmar Police officers as well as field test kits for methamphetamine and chemicals. These devices will be placed along major trafficking routes across the country. — GNLM
