MPMDMA expands sales of rare medications at distribution prices in Yangon, Bago

Myanmar Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Manufacturer Association (MPMDMA) will add one more place in the Yangon and Bago regions to sell hard-to-find pharmaceuticals at the wholesale prices of the pharmaceutical companies, said Dr Win Kyaing, chair of MPMDMA.
Forty pharmaceutical and medical device importing companies offered pharma sales at wholesale price in Yangon starting from 17 July 2024.
“The companies started to sell hard-to-find medicines at Myanmar Trade Promotion Organization’s office in Yangon on Merchant Road in Pabedan Township, Yangon on 17 July. The sales will expand to a place located in the compound of Nawaday Cinema in Mayangon Township, Yangon and the sales centre on the first floor of Thiri Oktha Market in Bago Region. Individuals can buy hard-to-find medicines according to patient records and old blister packs, bottles, sachets, etc,” he added.
MPMDMA is endeavouring to expand sales in more regions and states.
Drugs for chronic diseases, common diseases and conditions, including medicines for patients with hypertension, heart failure, kidney failure, diabetes, cancer, antibiotics, probiotics and other bone growth stimulators) are currently available at a pharma fair. — ASH/KK
