MR to reopen Yangon-Mawlamyine express train service on 22 August

Yangon-Mawlamyine express train will start to run on 22 August, according to Mawlamyine Railway Station under Myanma Railway (MR).
The express train will stop at three stations including Paung, Thahton and Kyaikto stations. The CCTVs will also be installed onboard the train for the safety of passengers, and the train will be clean and tidy because it is an express one. Yangon-Mawlamyine express train run by Korea two new express coaches will take only nine hours. Fare for Yangon-Mawlamyine trip will be priced at K8,000 for the upper class and K4,000 for the ordinary class. The tickets will be sold one day ahead.
The train will include four upper coaches which can accommodate 33 passengers, five ordinary coaches, which can accommodate 44 passengers and one average coach which (manual brake coach), can accommodate 44 passengers. No 83 up express train leaves Yangon Railway Station at 8 pm on 22 August and arrives at Mawlamyine railway station at 5:15 am the next day.
