MRCS provides emergency relief supplies to Cyclone Mocha victims in Rakhine State

The Myanmar Red Cross Society is actively assisting in Rakhine State, suffering severe impacts of Cyclone Mocha, by providing aid and distributing emergency relief equipment to the residents of Sittway Township.
Under the leadership of U Myint Htwe, the Head of Rakhine State Red Cross Brigade, and Daw Aye Aye Nyein, Director of the Projects Management Unit of Rakhine State, officials from International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies donated supplies to the villages of Myitna and Nyoyaungchaung villages in Sittway Township on the morning of 26 May.
A total of 33 family kits, 107 bags of personal hygiene goods, 107 bags of female hygiene goods, 74 sets of kitchen utensils, 148 sheets of tarpaulin and 74 mosquito nets were supplied for 107 households in Myitna village. A total of 54 family kits, 130 bags of personal hygiene goods, 130 bags of female hygiene goods, 76 sets of kitchen utensils, 152 sheets of tarpaulin and 76 mosquito nets for 130 households in Nyoyaungchaung village.
The Myanmar Red Cross Society provides food, shelter, water, personal hygiene products, and emergency cash assistance to people in temporary shelters and villages in need. They are committed to supporting shelters and ensuring ongoing aid. — Win Aung (MRCS)/KZW
