Myanmar Rice Federation (MRF) will sell Pawsan and Aemahta rice bags at much fairer prices to those philanthropists who would like to donate rice in flood-stricken areas, according to its announcement dated 14 September.
MRF raised crowdfunding with a capital of K100 million to help rural communities affected by floods and called donors to acquire voluntary contributions or other resources. MRF and affiliated associations will donate immediate aid like rice bags to civil service organizations, philanthropic non-profit organizations, and those in charge of temporary shelters, doing social work and rescue activities in flood-stricken areas.
Additionally, MRF will support pedigree seeds and cultivation inputs to help farmers who suffered damage recover from flood damage.
Those individuals who want to join MRF’s funding can contact the MRF through the phone number 09 400067250, 09 400067260 and email: [email protected]. — NN/KK
