MRTV staff and families hold Tazaungdaing festival

The Tazaungdaing festival of the staff and family members of MRTV was held at the MRTV compound in Tatkon Township yesterday evening.
Before the opening of the festival Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn and party attended the thousand-oil-lamp festival of Mahabodhi Pagoda and offered flowers, water and candlelights to the pagoda.
Next, the Union minister and wife Daw Khin Swe Win cut the ribbon and opened the MRTV’s family Tazaungdaing festival held at MRTV Park and greeted the staff and families warmly. After that, the Union minister and his wife lit candles and offered incense to the Buddha and Culamani Pagoda in Tavatimsa. And they watched and encouraged the launch of 11 hot-air-ballom from MRTV head office and branches.
Afterwards, they watched a music concert by MRTV staff, staff and families participated in the singing competition and prizes were given away.
Officials from the departments under the ministry, guests, artistes, staff and their family members attended the festival. — MNA
