The service of trekking in Mount Popa has become well-known this year and Yangon residents accounted for 70 per cent of total visitors.
“Trekking in Mount Popa has caught more and more attentions. Rain level in here is low so it is fine for mountaineering, just showers sometimes. A free knitting training course was planned on 8 and 9 August. The trekking service becomes well-known now. About 70 per cent of the visitors are from Yangon Region,” he said.
Overnight trekking tour in Mount Popa National Geopark has been scheduled on 24 August and an unplugged concert will be featured, he said. Mount Popa National Geopark is Myanmar’s first-ever geopark.
