Muse District Children’s Literature Festival commences

Muse District began their Children’s Literature Festival, Children’s Literature Exhibition and Book Sales Festival yesterday at Mingalar Muse Building, Muse Township, in Northern Shan State at 9 am yesterday.
The festival aims to foster comprehensive development for children, improve their literature knowledge, and promote their intelligence and performances.
Firstly, Shan State Minister for Bamar Ethnic Affairs, Dr. Aung Than Maung, State Minister for Lahu Ethnic Affairs, U Yaw That, Pyithu Hluttaw representative U Sai Phone Myat, State Hluttaw representative U Sai Kyaw Thein and U Kein Mine, Director-General of Information and Public Relations Department, U Ye Naing, Shan State Deputy-Administrator U Kyaw Thu Zaw, Muse District Administrator U Hlaing Soe Thant, and Managing Director of North East Gate Public Company Limited, U Aung Kyaw Moe formally opened the festival with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
Next, Students from B.E.H.S (2) and MIEC Private School sang the theme song of the children’s festival in the second part of the ceremony.
State Minister Dr. Aung Than Maung and Director-General U Ye Naing delivered separate opening remarks, and the Chairman of Muse District Management Committee then expressed his gratitude.
Afterward, students and ethnic culture groups performed songs and dances.
After that, officials awarded honorable certificates to the well-wishers, donors, the Education Department and civil society organizations who collaborated in Children’s Literature Festival, and students from MIEC Private School closed the ceremony with a song.
Later, attendees toured the festival and encouraged participants in competitions, viewed book sales festivals and galleries on display.
