Myanmar attends 2023 ASEAN-China Media Forum

Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint attended the 2023 ASEAN-China Media Forum held at Guangxi New Media Centre of Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China yesterday.
The forum is being held under the theme “Jointly Improve Media for a Better Future Shared by All” from 21 to 25 October.
At the forum, the deputy minister said this year marks the 10th anniversary of Belt and Road Initiatives and the 32nd anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations.
The Chinese government hosted the ASEAN-China Media Week five times aiming at promoting the role of news media.
Moreover, as per the theme Jointly Improve Media for a Better Future Shared by All, it should build firm trust between media outlets of China and ASEAN countries, mutual benefits with new technologies, methods and innovations and discuss the effective media-related policies for the public through a public-centred approach.
He then highlighted the effective measures against misinformation, and effective results through deep cooperation and collaboration to seek the trust of people for Main Stream Media.
He also expresses willingness to cooperate in the media sectors of ASEAN and China standing as a good partner country actively.
He urged all to promote the media sector through a shared future and cooperation for the people of China and ASEAN countries.
The Myanmar delegation also attended the meeting and signing ceremony of Chinese media outlets and ASEAN media organizations and visited radio, television and Internet shows at Guangxi New Media Centre. — ASH/KTZH
