Myanmar attends ASEAN ambassadors meeting in Jakarta

The second meeting of the Jakarta-based East Asia Summit for Ambassadors was held on 3 July at Le Eminence Puncak Hotel Convention and Resort, West Java in Jakarta, joined by U Aung Myo Myint, Permanent Representative of Myanmar to ASEAN, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Permanent Representative of Laos to ASEAN Mr Bovonethat Douanchak presided over the meeting, attended by ambassadors from East Asia Summit member countries and officials from the ASEAN Secretariat. The permanent representative of Timor Leste to ASEAN was present as an observer.
During the meeting, they focused on the implementation of the East Asia Summit Work Plan (2024-2028), regional development and security cooperation.
At the East Asia Summit, they exchanged views on issues to be implemented as a priority under the theme of ASEAN Chairman Laos depicting “Integrated Communication and Strengthening Resilience”. — ASH/KZL
