Myanmar attends ASEAN disaster management workshop

The ASEAN Disaster Management Workshop between ASEAN Sectoral Organizations and Related Organizations was held yesterday morning in Jakarta, Indonesia, through videoconferencing.
A delegation led by Deputy-Attorney-General U San Lwin, Chairman of the ASEAN Senior Law Officials Meeting (ASLOM), attended the workshop.
The workshop discussed situations and outcomes related to disaster management in the ASEAN region, the role of the Joint Task Force on Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (JTF HADR), implementation of disaster management activities and the need to strengthen the JTF-HADAR’s future plans. — MNA
