Myanmar-Bangladesh conduct coordinated naval patrol

A team of six border police led by Police Captain Maung Maung Yin, the commander of Nga Khu Ya Territory, Subdivision 2 of the Border Police Force in Area 5 of Maungtaw Township, left from Naval Vessel Outpost (Maungtaw) with two highspeed naval vessels at 10:45am in 12 August and met up with a Bangladesh team of twelve border police led by Major Shariful Islam of the Bangladesh Border Police Force No.2 at the confluence of Mingalargyi stream in the middle of the Naf River close to the two countries’ borders.
They conducted a coordinated naval patrol together along the Naf River and arrived at nautical mile-11 near U-Shaykya Stream. —Police Information Department
