Myanmar-Bangladesh region commander-level border coordination meeting held

The region commander-level border coordination meeting between the Myanmar and Bangladesh border guards was held in Teknaf of Cox’s Bazar in Bangladesh on 24 and 25 May.
The event was attended by the Myanmar delegation led by Police Brig-Gen Htet Lwin and the Bangladeshi delegation led by Brig-Gen Najam-Us-Sakib.
The meeting focused on enhancing mutual cooperation of security at borders, prevention of illegal infiltration, cooperation of border trade development, prevention of drugs, joint patrols of border guards of two countries, exchange of information related to borders in time, preventing the illegal cross border of terrorism groups and cross-border criminal gangs. — MNA/MKKS
