MYANMAR U-16 women football team had a great start in Group E, by beating Malaysia U-16, 3-0, in AFC U-16 Women Championship 2019 Qualifiers, at the Halchowk Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal, yesterday.

Myanmar’s big win was due to the 3 goals scored by its brilliant player Myat Noe Khin.

Both teams displayed good tactics and choice of strategies and demonstrated good communication among the players.

There were some goal opportunities in the late minutes of the first half, but neither team could convert them into goals.

Again, Myanmar used speedy and skillful play in the second half.

After a goalless first half, Myanmar opened the scoring through Myat Noe Khin’s 75th minute goal, before she added two more goals in the 87th and 89th minutes to secure the win.

Myanmar U-16 women team will next play against Nepal U-16, while Malaysia U-16 will play against the Philippines U-16 on Friday.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
