Myanmar, China cooperate in forging peace and stability in border region

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Chen Hai discussed the development of Myanmar and the government’s endeavours to restore internal peace with the help of China.

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Mr Chen Hai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, who has completed his tour of duty, at the Credentials Halls of the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Both sides cordially exchanged views on the progress of diplomatic relations, friendship and cooperation between China and Myanmar — strategic partnership countries — exchange of goodwill visits between high-ranking officials of both countries and preparations for holding a free and fair multiparty democratic general election.
Also present at the ceremony were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and officials. — MNA/TTA
