Myanmar, China to promote comprehensive strategic cooperation

Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Mr Chen Hai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar, who has completed his tour of duty, at the Credentials Hall of the Office of the State Administration Council Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Both sides cordially exchanged views on the progress of bilateral relations, proper conditions to establish a comprehensive strategic partnership, including further cooperation through thick and thin, efforts to develop the country, internal peace and stability in border areas and positive support of China.
Also present at the ceremony were Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo and relevant officials.
After the event, the Vice-Senior General and the Chinese Ambassador exchanged gifts. — MNA/KTZH
