According to U Aung Cho, Township Administrator of Kawthoung Township General Administration Department in Taninthayi Region, a total of 131 Myanmar citizens who entered the country from Thailand via the Ranong-Kawthoung route on 6 September were admitted and they will be sent back to their hometowns.
The returnees were Myanmar migrant workers and those arrested for various reasons in Thailand and consisted of 122 men and nine women. U Aung Cho and officials from various departments and organizations provided healthcare for the returnees at the Nawarat Gymnasium. Relevant departments and NGOs have collected and verified the personal data of the returnees and will arrange their systematic return to their respective hometowns.— TWA/TKO
