Myanmar delegation attends 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in China

The Myanmar delegation led by State Administration Council Member Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae arrived back in Yangon yesterday after attending the 2024 Conference of Global Public Security Cooperation Forum in Lianyungang, China, on 9 September.
During the forum, the Union minister discussed the international cooperation to combat prolonged violence and criminal gangs that create conflicts, deepen practical cooperation in the field of law enforcement and fight against traditional and non-traditional security threats.
At noon, the Union minister met Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong and discussed bilateral cooperation in security and law enforcement, and signed MoU on establishment of central police cooperation centre between the two countries and assistance of five million yuan worth of police equipment and supplies.
The Myanmar delegation then visited the exhibition on police equipment in Lianyungang. — MNA/KTZH
