The Myanmar delegation to attend the 19th Asia Media Summit and Associated Meetings is seen at Yangon International airport yesterday before departing for Malaysia.

A Myanmar delegation departed for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, yesterday to attend the 19th Asia Media Summit and Associated Meetings, which will be held from 1 to 5 September 2024.
The summit is organized by the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AIBD). Themed “Media: The New Odyssey,” the forum will focus on global changes in media and broadcasting, various AI perspectives, and collaborative efforts for growth and learning.
The Myanmar delegation, led by U Ye Naing, Director-General of Myanma Radio and Television, will engage in discussions and workshops on topics such as misinformation combat, media literacy enhancement, and the use of 5G in future 4K broadcasting.
The Asia Media Summit is a crucial event for media profession across the Asia-Pacific region to connect, share knowledge, and discuss the future of media. This year’s summit is significant as it returns to Malaysia after a nine-year interval. — MNA/KZL
