Myanmar nationals were seeking passport extension at Myanmar Embassy in Singapore in 2023.

With the approval of the Myanmar Passport Office under the Ministry of Home Affairs, the list of approved persons for Myanmar passport renewal was announced on 27 August on the Facebook page of the Myanmar Embassy in Singapore.
Only the mother or father needs to come for a passport for their infants, and it is not required to bring the child, said the embassy. Further, the embassy has made weekly announcements to approved persons for passport renewal, out of registered applicants, via WhatsApp.
Fake documents or submissions through agents won’t be considered for an extension, and the embassy warned that any private service company or agent are not permitted to provide this service and make a wait list for submitting documents to the embassy’s WhatsApp.
Myanmar nationals in Singapore aged 65 years and above are not required to seek a reservation on the embassy’s website or WhatsApp. Still, the embassy will provide a passport extension service for them as a privilege, and they can come in person in the morning. — MT/ZS/ED
