Myanmar exits AFF U-16 Championship

Vietnam eliminated Myanmar in a 5-1 win during the ASEAN U-16 Championship Group B match played in Indonesia yesterday.
Likewise, Cambodia also beat Brunei 6-0 in the same group. If the Myanmar team wins against Vietnam, they can hope to advance to the next round, but they lost and said goodbye to the tourney.
The Myanmar team competed with the best line-up, but in terms of performance, they could not overtake Vietnam in any way. Team Vietnam broke the deadlock with the goals of Nuyen at the 18 and 26-minute mark.
The tempo of the game went higher just before the end of the first half, with a score of Myanmar’s Nyi Nyi Thant at 41 minutes.
But Team Vietnam destroyed all of Myanmar’s hope with three consecutive goals scored at 66, 71 and 81 minutes.
At the end of Group B matches, the Vietnam and Cambodia teams had seven points each, but Team Vietnam won first place in the group and entered the semifinals with only goal difference, while Cambodia had hope for the best second place.
Both Myanmar and Brunei teams were eliminated from the group stage of the AFF U-16 Championship. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
