The Myanmar film ‘Thone (ka)’ is being showcased at the ASEAN Plus Film Festival 2024, held in Prague, Czech Republic, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Organized by the ASEAN-Prague Committee, the festival runs from 2 to 9 September, with films from ASEAN and partner countries screened at the Prague Municipal Library.
The festival’s opening ceremony took place on 2 September, with Deputy Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Prof. Jaroslav Miller, attending as a special guest. Ambassadors from ASEAN countries, as well as representatives from China, South Korea, and Japan, were also present. Charge d’Affaires Dr Tun Naung of the Myanmar Embassy to the Czech Republic delivered a speech during the event. — ASH/TRKM
