Myanmar gets sweet victory in ASEAN U-18 Women’s Championship opener

Myanmar U-18 Women’s Team beat Malaysia Team 2-0 in their opening match of the ASEAN U-18 Women’s Championship in Indonesia yesterday.
Team Myanmar was able to get full points in the first group match without making any mistakes.
The women’s squad did not play an international warm-up match before the tournament, so this match was their first international match, and although they struggled a bit, they were able to beat the Malaysian team.
Myanmar team line-up includes May Khin Oo (goalkeeper), May Thet Mon Myint, Kyel Sin, Shun Lei Naing, Phyu Phyu Win, Wai Phoo Eain, Hay Marn Soe, Nang Cho Hmwe, Wai Hnin Phyo, Yin Loon Eain, and Zin Moe Pyae.
As it was the first international match, most Myanmar players struggled in the first half and could not score a goal.
In the 60th minute, Myanmar broke the deadlock, and Su Myat Noe scored the first goal.
After getting the first goal, team Myanmar played better and May Thet Mon Myint scored the second goal that ensured victory in the 82nd minute.
In the other Group B match, the Australian team beat the Philippines by four goals.
