Myanmar girls squad face shocking loss to India in Asian Cup Qualifiers

Myanmar U-17 women’s football team suffered a 1-2 defeat to India U-17 women’s team in the group F match of the Asian Cup Qualifiers played at Dolen Omurzakov Stadium, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on 28 April.
Starting line-up of team Myanmar include Goalkeeper Thuzar Aung, Defenders: Yamin Phyu, Yu Yu Naing, Min Min Nu, and Thel Ei Hlaing, Midfielders: Honey Moe, Kay Thwe Phyo Oo, Nyein Nyein Phyo, and Khin Bhone, and strikers Za Kha Rozi, and Yu Ya Naing.
Indian team played in a good manner and repeatedly pressured team Myanmar from the kick-off.
Myanmar midfielder Khin Bhone’s kick in the penalty area hit the post and lost the icebreaker in the early minutes.
In the 27 and 33 minutes of the game, Raul and Pooja scored the first and winning goals for the Indian team, so Myanmar lost by 0-2 at the end of the first half.
In the second half, team Myanmar made player changes and put more pressure on the Indian team to score an equalizer.
In the 76th minute of the game, Yamin Phyu scored an equalizer for the Myanmar team through a free kick.
However, in the overtime, two Myanmar players were sent off due to an altercation with the Indian players.
At the final whistle, team India celebrated the (2-1) victory over Myanmar and qualified for the second round qualifiers. — KZL
