Myanmar golfer wins River Landing Classic tourney in US

Golfer Phue Pwint Yati Khaing represented Myanmar at the 2020 edition of the River Landing Classic Golf competition, held on 9 and 10 March at Wallace, North Carolina, United States, and won the women’s event of the tourney.
Sixty-eight players participated in the tourney. Phue Pwint Yati Khaing won with a total of 216 shots: 72-78 shots on 9 March and 68 shots on 10 March.
Thao My Nguyen came second place with 221 shots and Mallory Fobes third with 221 shots.
Rachael Mast placed fourth with 227 shots and Keri Kenkel fifth with 240 shots.
Phue Pwint Yati Khaing is studying at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and has competed in American golf competitions, according to the Myanmar Golf Federation.
She finished ninth at the Sergio Garcia Foundation tournament last year, and came 12th in the Golf Week Junior Tour. —Lynn Thit (Tgi)
