Myanmar Health Sciences Conference 2023 opens

Union Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win makes the opening speech at the Myanmar Health Sciences Conference 2023 in Nay Pyi Taw on 11 March 2023.

The Myanmar Health Sciences Conference 2023 was held yesterday morning at the Myanmar International Convention Centre-II in Nay Pyi Taw, and Union Health Minister Dr Thet Khaing Win delivered the opening speech.
Participants discussed “Quality Care in Medical Practice” in the morning and afternoon sessions for the main symposium. They also discussed “Genomic Medicine in Myanmar-Current and Future Applications”; Professor Ouppatham discussed “Role of calcitriol in the management of chronic kidney disease”, “Living with Hypertension”, “Surgery Updates in Management of Gastric Cancer”, and “Inguinal Hernia and Sepsis”.
Next, Dr Takayuki Inagaki and Myanmar paediatricians discussed “Updates in Neurosurgery”, “Updates in Management of Colorectal Cancer”, “Haematopathological Cases”, “Updates in Endoscopic Surgery”, “Safe anaesthesia for every patient today”, and “Updates on Prevention of Cervical Cancer”.
Professor Dr Tan Soo Young put forward the topics “Challenges in Diagnosis of Lymphoma” and “Standard Care in Cardiology” as Pathology Special Talk.
Dr Sanjay Kalra discussed “Basal Insulin Addressing the Fasting Plasma Glucose Challenge”, “Osteoporosis: Not to Miss”, “Updates in Management of Common Hepatobiliary Problems” and “Integrative Care of Pain”.
Dr Taweesak Chotivatanapong and Dr Suphasit Sathitrakool put forward the topics “IHD: Stable Angina and Long-term Treatment” and “Standard Practice in Gastroenterology”. The attendees also joined the discussions. — MNA/KZL
