Myanmar-India Friendship Game held to commemorate Independence Day of India

To commemorate the 72nd Independence Day of India that falls on 15 August, an Independence Day ceremony was held at the India side of the Myanmar-India Friendship Bridge in Zokhawthar Village, Champai District, Mizoram State, India on 11 am 15 August.
Under the invitation of Brigadier M.S. Mokha of Assam Rifles, the Independence Day ceremony was attended by Col. Ye Kyaw Kyaw from Kalay cantonment and
Col. Nay Myo Zaw from Haka cantonment.
The ceremony was opened by singing of Myanmar and India national anthems by students from the two countries.
Afterwards, Colonel Ye Kyaw Kyaw and Brigadier M.S Mokha delivered opening speeches followed by the commencement of Myanmar-India Friendship Game and a prize awarding ceremony.
On the same day, health department officials from Myanmar also provided medical services for local people in Rihkhawdar town and Zokhawthar village in commemoration of the Independence Day of India.
