Myanmar joins ACW and US-ASEAN Business Council Roundtable

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that U Thet Win, Myanmar Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Washington DC, attended the roundtable and networking event with the private sector jointly organized by the ASEAN Committee in Washington (ACW) and US-ASEAN Business Council (USABC) on 16 September in Washington DC.
At the roundtable, the participants exchanged views on the prospects of business operations in ASEAN member states in the areas of the sustainable and resilient supply-chain sector, cybersecurity, infrastructure development, regional maritime transport, logistics, and others. The event was attended by ASEAN ambassadors, chargés d’affaires and representatives from other ASEAN embassies.
It was co-chaired by Mr Jose Manuel G. Romualdez, Ambassador of the Philippines to the United States, and Mr Marc Mealy, Senior Vice President of the USABC. The Ambassador of Timor-Leste to the United States was present as an observer, and members of the US-ASEAN Business Council, CEOs and representatives from US businesses also attended the event. — ASH/TMT
