Myanmar journalists visit fruit market in China’s Yunnan Province


A 16-member delegation of the Upper Myanmar Journalists Association led by the association’s chairman, U Htay Aung, visited the Wamting fruit market in China’s Yunnan Province on 19 November.
Mr. Zhang Jian (a) U Htay Myint, the head of the Dehong Prefecture Chamber of Commerce, spoke to the delegation about the transport of fruits in the market, the export of 600,000 tons of fruits per year, and the employment of 2,000 Myanmar workers at the market for loading and uploading of fruits from the vehicles.
Wamting fruit market is the largest of eight fruit markets in the prefecture. It sends various sorts of fruits to the all regions of China.—Htay Myint Maung
