Myanmar lose South Korea in Asian U-23 Qualifiers

Myanmar team received a 0-3 defeat as host South Korea thrashed Myanmar in the Group B match of the Asian U-23 Qualifiers yesterday.
Since team Myanmar drew against Kyrgyzstan in the first group match, their hopes of qualifying have faded away and were satisfied with the qualification level as they lost again to South Korea in this match.
The Myanmar team qualified only once in the debut tournament held in 2014 and failed to qualify for five consecutive times.
The Myanmar team started the line-up with strong players. The South Korean team got the opening goal in the first five minutes of the game, and Park Seung-hoon scored. After that, the Myanmar team was able to stop South Korea’s attack and had to concede two goals near the end of the match.
The winning goals for the South Korean team were scored by Jeong Bang Kwan in the 85 minute and Oh Jae-Hook in the 90th + 2 minute. After the qualifying group matches, Myanmar collected one draw and one loss, bagging only one point and failed to qualify. — Ko Nyi Lay/KZL
