Myanmar marks Word Breastfeeding Week 2024 and Nutrition Promotion Week

The Ministry of Health held a commemorative event for Word Breastfeeding Week 2024 and Nutrition Promotion Week at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
Speaking at the event, Union Minister for Health Dr Thet Khaing Win said this year’s theme is “Closing the Gap; Breastfeeding Support for All” and that all should work together to ensure better health conditions and nutrition for children and women.
He then mentioned the social affairs objectives of the State Administration Council and presented awards to students who won prizes in basic education high and middle-school-level essay competitions.
He also observed the displayed mini booths, feeding nutritional Vitamin A to pre-primary children and giving vitamins and supplements to expectant mothers. — MNA/KTZH
