Myanmar Martial Arts Tournament on in Nay Pyi Taw

A state and region Myanmar Martial Arts Tournament is currently being held at the Wunna Theikdi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw under the supervision of the Ministry of Health and Sports, Sports and Physical Education Department, and Myanmar Thaing (martial arts) Federation.
The tournament features men’s and women’s events.
In the women’s 49-53 kg Bando attack competition yesterday, Khin Yati Ko (Yangon Region) came first, Thazin Wai (Thaninthayi Region) second, and Lahtaw Mary Sai (Kachin State) and Khin San (Shan State) tied for the third place.
In the women’s 53-57 kg Bando attack competition, Htet Htet Win (Taninthayi Region) secured the first place, while Nann San Law (Shan State) came second, and Ei Shwezin (Sagaing Region) and Thuzar (Mon State) tied for the third place.
In the women’s (one-knife) attack event, Zin Mho Mho Htwe (Magwe Region) emerged as the winner, Phyo Ei Ei Kyaw (Mandalay Region) came second, and Kary Hlaing (Shan State) and Zin Mar Pyae (Mon State) tied for the third place.
In the men’s above 69-kg Bando competition, Ye Htut Win (Mandalay Region) won the first place, Pyae Phyo Aung (Shan State) finished in the second place, and Lin Ko Ko Oo (Magway Region) and Kaung Khant Zin (Bago Region) tied for the third place.
In the men’s and women’s mixed event, the Magwe Region team came first, the Sagaing Region team was second, and the Shan State team finished third.
The martial arts tourney will continue today at the same venue. Entry to the competition is free for fans, said officials.—Lynn Thit (Tgi)
