Myanmar movie series to undergo pre-production censorship

The Myanmar Motion Picture Organization recently issued a statement stating that effective 1 August, the brief stories and plots of Myanmar movies must be submitted to the censor board during the pre-production stage to seek permission for filming.
The Information and Public Relations Department has been tasked with overseeing these procedures. Television broadcasters and producers are now required to submit the brief story of their movies to the censor board to obtain permission for production, as per the statement.
The statement further warns that movies made without prior submission to the censor board will not undergo the necessary censoring processes. — TWA/KTZH
