LOCAL NEWS

The remaining matches of the Myanmar National League I will resume on 29 and 30 June, according to the MNL committee.
This season’s MNL matches are being held at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, so five matches a week are being held, officials said.
The ISPE FC will take on Rakhine United today and GFA FC will play against Yadanabon FC on 30 June.
The ISPE FC has qualified for the MNL tournament for two consecutive seasons and will compete with local players.
Rakhine United has recruited foreign players but selected local players only earlier this month.
GFA is back in the league and Yadanabon is the second most successful team in the MNL.
Yadanabon will continue to compete with local players this season.
In the last three matches, Yangon United beat Myawady 2-0, Hanthawady beat Ayeyawady 2-0, and Defending Champions Shan United made a win over Maha United 5-1. — Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
