Yangon United will play against Ayeyawady United in the Week-9 match of the Myanmar National League at 3.30 pm today at the KyaukTaing Stadium in Pathein.
Speaking about the upcoming match, Yangon United midfielder Mg Mg Lwin said that the match will not be an easy one.
“The match will be difficult for both teams. I would like to ask our fans to please have a look at the performance of our team on the pitch,” he said.
The midfielder also said his team is aiming for winning the championship. “We must win the match as we are aiming for the championship position,” he said.
“The most important thing is that we must not lose the match against Ayeyawady United. If we lose to our opponents, we may slide to the third place,” he added.
“A draw result can help our team stand second with goal difference. My teammates have prepared well to face Ayeyawady United,” he added.
Mg Mg Lwin said he has studied how the Ayeyawady United play, how they attack, and prepare for defense, and he has analyzed his team’s performance as well. Yangon United is currently in the second place on the standing table, with 20 points from 6 wins and 2 draws. Meanwhile, Ayeyawady United is in the third place with the same points, but with goal difference. —Lynn Thit (Tgi)
