Myanmar national team to play friendly matches ahead of AFF Cup

The Myanmar national team will play more international friendly matches before the AFF Cup at the end of this year.
Team Myanmar will start preparing for this tournament in mid-November and will compete in international friendly matches last week of November or early December, officials said.
The Myanmar national team will start preparing for this competition after the end of the 2022 season of Myanmar National League.
The Myanmar team will be constituted with those who played well in the friendly match against the Hong Kong team this month, in the remaining matches of the domestic league, and against foreign clubs.
The Myanmar national team played two friendly matches against the Hong Kong national team on 21 and 24 September during the international week in September, and the result showed a draw and a loss.
It was a beneficial warm-up for the Myanmar national team, and head coach Antoine Hey did not select those who play in foreign clubs, but those who have demonstrated their ability in the domestic league.
Since the Myanmar national team has played two friendly matches against the Hong Kong team, training will be suspended and the footballers will also play for domestic club matches again.
The AFF Cup will take place from 20 December 2022 to 16 January 2023.—Ko Nyi Lay/GNLM
