A discussion aimed at facilitating smoother trade, cultural exchange, and tourism technological services between Myanmar and Nepal was held at the Nepali Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 20 September, according to Myanmar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The talks also focused on improving the travel experience for Myanmar pilgrims visiting the Lumbini region of Nepal. The talks were attended by U Myo Myint Maung, Myanmar’s Ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal, and Ms Rita Dhital, Joint Secretary of the Southeast Asia and Pacific Division at Nepal’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the discussions, both sides exchanged views on enhancing the longstanding friendly relations between the two nations. Topics included increasing cooperation in trade, culture, tourism, and technical services, as well as further improving the experience for Myanmar pilgrims visiting Lumbini. Both countries expressed their commitments to strengthening collaboration in mutually beneficial sectors. — ASH/KZL
