Dear respected brothers and sisters of the ethnic people and citizens, first of all let me send warm wishes of Metta (Loving-kindness) for both your peace of mind and physical well-being.
Now is the time when we just embarked on the path to democratic transition of our Union to a Democratic Federal Union. This is a rare opportunity for us to have reached this stage with great difficulty through years of struggle and toil. Thus I want you all to remove all obstacles and hindrances that stand in the way of building of a democratic union collectively. I also want you all to guard against any opposition and dangers to democracy collectively. We also need to guard against any deed damaging the stability and peace that could result in deviation from the road towards democratic change.
The Shwehintha Sayadaw said “In working for the people, despite scorn and scoff, hold your onward course with good faith and endeavor”. We will exert our efforts for the people according to this saying. In addition to this, there is a special need for all of us to lend a helping hand, do our duty and work as much as possible in helping to achieve internal peace which is a necessity for the stability and development of the Union as well as for peace and prosperity of the citizens. May we have stability and peace as the Republic of the Union of Myanmar progress and develop. May the people have peace and be free from danger. I send Metta (Loving-kindness) again and pray for their happiness and tranquility. Thank you all.
