Myanmar participates in ASEAN Trade Fair in New Delhi

The Myanmar Embassy participated in the ASEAN Trade Fair held on 10 August in New Delhi, India, in commemoration of the 57th ASEAN Day, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
ASEAN New Delhi Committee (ANDC) hosted the event under the chairmanship of Indonesia, and Myanmar’s Ambassador and staff attended the event, serving Myanmar traditional coconut chicken noodle soup (Ohno Khaoswe in Myanmar). Myanmar’s traditional and cultural artefacts, handicrafts and tourism promotion brochures were also showcased.
Mr Harsh Chirania, Under Secretary from India’s Ministry of External Affairs, was a vital figure at the event. Indonesian Ambassador Ms Ina Krisnamurthi, chair of the committee, made the opening remarks. Senior officials opened the ceremony by cutting a ribbon and posed for documentary photos after observing booths of the respective countries at the ASEAN Trade Fair. — ASH/KK
